Keith Haring: 1978–1982 a playful exhibition that focuses on the artist's early career is currently on view at the Brooklyn Museum. Tracing the development of Haring’s extraordinary visual vocabulary, the exhibition includes 155 works on paper, numerous experimental videos, and over 150 archival objects, including rarely seen sketchbooks, journals, exhibition flyers, posters, subway drawings, and documentary photographs.

These beautiful fernlike ornaments called Lichtenberg figures or Lightning Flowers may appear on the skin of a person struck by lightning. They are thought to be caused by the rupture of capillaries under the skin due to the passage of the lightning current as it flashes over the skin.
